Packing three party-starting effects into one affordable fixture, the new Furious Three RG from Eliminator Lighting creates an exhilarating burst of color and movement that will create a party atmosphere anywhere it is used. The compact fixture delivers vibrant color washes, piercing laser beams and multi-colored moonflower effects that combine to create a dazzling all-in-one lightshow.
At the very center of the fixture is a laser aperture which projects countless diffracted beams generated from two laser diodes (green and red). In a haze-filled room the laser effect will create a blaze of penetrating midair beams that are incredibly effective but also completely safe. However, if smoke or haze effects can’t be used, the myriad of dancing laser dots projected on the floor, walls or ceiling of a room will be equally impressive.
Surrounding the central laser aperture are eight lenses for the unit’s moonflower effect. This is powered by six highly efficient 5W penta (RGBWY) 5-in-1 LEDs. Each lens shoots out a myriad of razor-sharp colored beams of light that dance and spin hypnotically. In a haze-filled atmosphere, the beams will cut through to generate mesmerizing aerial patterns, while the effect is equally impressive without haze to create a dancefloor-filling explosion of color and movement.
The final effect offered by the Furious Three RG is a vibrant color wash generated by eight 3W (RGBY) Quad color LEDs. This is ideal for filling a dancefloor with saturated colored light, which can be set to chase, adding even further dynamic energy.
Furious Three RG unit photosThe Furious Three RG is a versatile fixture which offers four different control modes: Auto, Sound Active, Primary/Secondary or DMX. In Auto or Sound Active mode the unit will run through its internal effect programs, either at a user-selected speed or triggered by the beat of the music detected by the fixture’s internal microphone with sensitivity control. Both modes can be customized to include just one of the unit’s effects, all three of them, or any combination of two. In Primary/Secondary mode, two or more fixtures can be linked together to easily create a larger synchronized lightshow. One unit is set as the ‘Primary’ in either Auto or Sound Active mode and the others are then set to ‘Secondary’ and will mimic the output of the ‘Primary’ fixture. DMX mode allows precise control over the fixture’s output, allowing for integration into a large lighting setup. Nine DMX control channels are used to provide full control over all three of the unit’s effects.
A 4-digit LED display, together with four corresponding push buttons, located on the rear of the fixture allows for mode selection and configuration as well as DMX addressing. Four convenient LED status indicators are also provided, which clearly show which mode is currently selected. 3-pin DMX input and output sockets are also located on the rear panel, together with both input and output connections for AC, allowing multiple units to be daisy chained from a single power source. Finally, a safety key switch is provided to allow the unit’s laser output to be securely deactivated if required.
Measuring just 300mm x 312mm x 226mm (L x W x H) and weighing a very manageable 3.7kg., the Furious Five RG is convenient to setup, store and transport. It is supplied with a robust hanging bracket, which locks in place using plastic thumb-tightening screws on each side of the unit, allowing the effect to be angled in any desired direction. The bracket can be used to ceiling mount the fixture for permanent venue installation or a clamp may be attached for mobile DJ or temporary event use. A safety eye is also located on the rear of the unit, to allow a safety wire to be fitted as a failsafe.
